M 404 Handler

What it does

Unlimited redirects with the status code and match mode you choose, plus a log of every broken link so you can see what is actually failing. No front-end assets are ever loaded, and redirects resolve in one indexed query before the main query runs.

Features

• 301, 302, 303, 307 and 308, with exact, prefix or full regex matching and $1 substitution
• Hit counter and last-hit timestamp on every rule, so you can see what is used
• Management table with search, filters, bulk enable/disable/delete and counter reset
• Automatic redirection of every remaining 404 to a page or URL of your choosing
• 404 log aggregated per URL with referrer, user agent and optionally anonymised IP
• A real WordPress page served as the 404 response with a true 404 status, plus "did you mean" suggestions

Installing it

1. Download the ZIP above.
2. In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP and install it.
3. Activate. The defaults are safe to leave alone; everything else is optional.

Licensed GPL-2.0-or-later. No account, no licence key, no phone-home. Where a plugin can talk to an outside service, that is off until you switch it on.
